McKenzie Christopher Associates is an IT consulting firm that specializes in IT management and support. MCA is seeking an Administrative Assistant for regular, full-time assistance to the Director of Business Development. The position includes web research, research compilation, and data entry. Applicants must be detail oriented, organized, with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • - Perform general office duties such as answering the telephone, greeting visitors, scheduling appointments and meetings, and maintaining office.
  • - Assist preparation of reports and maintain records and files.
  • - Draft and compose correspondence.

Cisco Network Engineer

Job Description / Required Skills: :

Candidate selected will demonstrate senior level knowledge in all aspects of Cisco Call Manager, Unity, Unified Messaging, Integrated Call Distribution, Integrated Voice Response, Attendant Console and Personal Attendant. Requires MCSE 2000 or MCSE 2003 certification with the Messaging option. Must have current Cisco Unity Support Specialist certification.

Network engineers are responsible for taking a lead role in supporting client infrastructure to insure that all installations are executed in a timely and efficient manner. Will provide support and complete documentation for all assigned projects, may supervise a team of engineers on larger projects, and provide architectural direction and planning for client/server systems.

Ideal candidates will have experience maintaining and troubleshooting in a production environment. Have an understanding of LAN/WAN issues and Exchange. Will be performing complex troubleshooting and major design activities, provide second and third level support for customer NT systems, and provide mentoring to peers on the NT support team.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS: :

  • - 5+ years of experience in a network support role
  • - 5+ years of experience with LAN and WAN technologies and protocols
  • - 3+ years of recent experience with ground-up design, setup, and installation of Cisco environments, experience with enterprise NT technologies that include: NT 4, Windows 2000/2003, WINS, DNS, Terminal Services, Exchange, and SQL.
  • - Proficiency utilizing Cisco IOS 11.x, 12.x, Cisco Routers, Cisco Switches, CiscoWorks, SNMP, Sniffer Pro, In-depth knowledge of IP routing protocols: RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
  • - Working knowledge of a variety of LAN technologies including Fast/Gigabit Ethernet, HSRP, Token Ring, and DLSW+
  • - Possession of excellent analytical skills to diagnose and resolve server, router, or WAN failures required

Systems Engineer

Individual will be expected to develop test plans, procedures and data; evaluate test systems throughout the development life cycle, ensure compliance with system requirements; and assist with problem diagnosis and correction. Must be able to manage large sets of data, prioritize work flow, map and evaluate business processes, and make technology recommendations and process modifications. Will also be responsible for task coordination and management and contribute recognized functional expertise to client deliverables. Previous experience in developing, integrating and managing Rational database applications and/or other software models is highly preferred. Excellent, proven verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Individual will be responsible for serving as an effective member of client delivery/assignment teams. Individual must be a self-motivated, focused, and possess excellent team, client interface, problem solving, and organizational skills. Must demonstrate the ability to solve practical problems when working with non-technical, end-user community. Will coordinate with the Project and/or Program Manager to ensure problem solution and user satisfaction. Will also augment customer training and help-desk activities, respond to functional questions, troubleshoot user reported errors, and prepare technical reports and instructional manuals.

Desired Skills:

  • - Includes familiarity with the Rational Unified Process/tools and the Unified Modeling Language, and prior experience with large scale program integration.
  • - Experience with developing and documenting test plans, scenarios, and scripts
  • - Knowledge of test methodologies
  • - 3 years of experience with software testing of database and client-server applications

Qualified candidates will be expected to work with technical staff to gain clear understanding of products and abilities and be able to share insights with non-technical staff and clients in both written and verbal form. Candidates must be motivated and able to work independently.

Requirements:

  • - 2-3 years of technical writing experience
